Abstract
Developing and providing quality education in all levels of education has become a major goal for most educational systems in the world, including Tanzania. This has, in turn, led to increased attention to how quality education can be effectively delivered in schools. However, alongside this positive initiative, there have grown more limiting developments of malpractices in Tanzanian education sector. Despite their adverse impacts in providing quality education in schools, the efforts to address these malpractices have been so limited. This article examines education malpractices in Tanzanian educational sector, and discusses the promising ways in which these malpractices can be appropriately addressed to achieve the aspiration of providing quality education in Tanzanian schools.
