Abstract
This study examined the influence of Mobile Financial Inclusion (MFI) on the Performance of SACCOs business (PSB) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Through the Resource-Based View (RBV), the study assessed how the ability to save money (SM), transfer money (TM), and access to financial information Access (FIA) shape PSB as guided by the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The data were collected from 226 SACCOs using mail survey self-administered questionnaires, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in Smart-PLS. The findings reveal that all three independent variables SM, TM, and FIA positively and significantly, enhanced PSB. The results further show that SM and FIA strengthen the relationships between TPB constructs, while TM exerts a strong direct influence on PSB, leading to the development of the MFI–PSB framework. The study recommends that SACCOs need to invest in MFI systems to enhance service efficiency, decision-making, and member engagement. Future research may extend this framework to other financial institutions and explore customer-level perspectives to gain a broader understanding of MFI adoption and performance outcomes.
